The Political Illusion Of The 'Lesser Of Two Evils'

As I stated in my article 'The Lesser Of Two Evils Con-Game', one of the great dangers of the upcoming 2012 elections is the psychological trap presented by the Mitt Romney campaign.  Some conservatives are so terrified of a second Obama term that they are willing to strap on the blinders and ignore the overwhelming facts that reveal Romney to be no more than another globalist puppet with an almost identical policy record to the man they despise.  If a citizen votes at all, he should first understand that the election process, especially at the federal level, is utterly corrupt and beyond repair.  Believing that you can affect change by replacing one traitor with another is absurd.  Secondly, he should at the very least vote based on his deepest principles.  Every American should ask themselves one question:  Why participate in the farce if there is nothing to gain?  We have been voting for the "Lesser Of Two Evils" for decades, and the strategy hasn't been working out too well for us so far.  It is my hope that the Liberty Movement proponents that have fallen back into the false left/right paradigm habit can find their way to reason once again.  Perhaps the following cleverly produced video on the 'Illusion Of Choice' will help in that process...

Snake Oil vs. Hair Oil
written by Prepping Preacher , September 04, 2012

there is little to no difference between the fraud in OUR White House and the white, Vitalis-do sporting person whose national party re-wrote the nomination rules as they went just days ago to exclude any and all other candidates... this makes him as large and open a fraud as the the one mentioned before... this makes the system that promoted him a fraud and sham... it also gives credibility a to statement the former mentioned fraud made that everyone rose up in opposition to: "you didn't build that" or similar... Mr. Vialis is now going to ride the good will and likely illegal behavior of those who turned our system of elections into a laughing stock right into the Oval Office and WILL BE BEHOLDING TO THEM AND THEIR financial backers... no, he didn't build that - they did it for him or at least performed it in concert WITH HIM for promises made... we'll see if the architect of 0baminationcare will repeal the spawn of his very own state-level masterpiece of taxation... i'm not holding my breath nore should anyone else...

this whole political game is nauseating at it's very best...

Really has anyone ever considered that the reason for the "choose between two turds" system is so that we at some point we give up on the system.

I really hope that Ron Paul goes 3rd party.....

@qnoqh

No, I don't see that as the primary purpose at all. As soon as Americans finally give up on the controlled elections farce, they are going to look for tangible alternative solutions. The elites don't want that. They want us to continue smashing our heads against the brick wall of corrupt politics for generations to come, naively believing that MAYBE, one day, things will miraculously change for the better...

Politics as it has stood for decades is an engineered distraction which allows the masses to hand over their personal responsibility to take control of their own destinies. Instead of taking matters into their own hands, they place all their energies into a single man or a single group of men and say "please, oh leaders, make all my hard choices for me so I don't have to fret over them myself..."

It's time for this country to wipe the slate clean politically, walk away from the mainstream system entirely, and do something productive for a change...

Break the paradigm and GIVE UP ON THE SYSTEM...

Most that frequent this site have and are looking to create alternatives. Step out of the mainstream matrix and focus on local...From here we build out, encompass the central or federal system and reconstruct our society.

middle ground under a microscope

Thank you for these articles Brandon.

It's really exasperating the number of people (just in my circle alone) who still believe in the election farce. It's like they've got a block of wood in front of their brains and are incapable of seeing beyond it; or don't want to.

"What about all those people who DIED so you could vote??" Yeah I know, I feel real sorry for those people because my vote (and yours) does not count for shit.

I'm sad for the people who're trapped in the illusion, and yet also hopeful because I see more & more people waking up and taking a closer look at the world around them rather then just accepting things at face value like they used to do. We no longer need to give up our wills to the system & accept it as it is; we can CHOOSE to live differently, in a different way.

Is Obama or Romney more likely to institute draconian gun laws and send DHS to take our guns from us? Is Romney or Obama more likely to confiscate or outlaw the sale of gold? Is Romney or Obama more likely to take over your IRA or 410K? Is Obama or Romney more likely to institute job-killing environmental regulations? Is Romney or Obama more likely to destroy America economically? Is Obama or Romney more likely to fatten the welfare rolls? Which one is more into "wealth redistribution?" Or unionizing every worker in America? Which one will sign a bill to rescind Obamacare?

Lesser of two evils? WAY lesser of two evils!

@Gadgetman

They will both enact every provision you just listed, and Romney has openly admitted to supporting every policy that Obama has presented in his time as president. There is no "Lesser Of Two Evils". Both candidates are GLOBALIST PUPPETS. Neither has their own platform. They BOTH get their marching orders from the .01%. Wake up.

Like the bumper sticker says, "It's Not Them!"
written by Central Florida Veterans For Peace , September 05, 2012

Attention All Defenders of the U.S. Constitution:

In my opinion for one to not publicly call for the impeachment of the current war criminal POTUS, along with simultaneously calling for the prosecution of the former war criminal POTUS for the same daggone crimes cited (thus acknowledging said crimes to be in fact war crimes) .... let alone to actually be supporting or otherwise aiding the current war criminal POTUS in securing another term in "elected" office ... makes one knowingly party to the war crimes of that current war criminal POTUS.

It's about us, people, and what we do or don't do. Like the bumper sticker says, "It's Not Them!"

Please take the short time to watch the following 6-minute video entitled "Obama, Romney and Goldman Sachs - 2012" and then post and/or email to your respective websites, blogs and/or email lists. Thank you.

How do you make half of America put liberty back above govt handouts? How do you make the other half purge the notion of a functioning left/right/republicrat paradigm? The way I see it, its over...effective change won't come until their is a massive ORGANIZED uprising, a nationwide protest of government AS A WHOLE. I don't see that happening. Too many people are still clueless. Get out of the city, fortify your home, dig an underground bunker if you have extra land. Don't be the first out on the streets when the shtf, because those people will be the first ones with accomodations at camp fema. Good luck!

It starts at home
written by Alananda , September 05, 2012

within your Self, during the dark, quiet nighttime, with everyone you love asleep, peacefully oblivious to the turmoil and boiling rage warming this planet, for now, at least.

Can you punch a hole in your mind? Can you let the Light that is you shine forth, onto all you see, all you believe, all you dream? If not, then you have little hope, indeed. If you, blind, lead the blind, where but the ditch will you find yourself and those with whom you trave and hope to shepherd?

I hold the belief that you and I cannot hope to assist the rest of humanity until each of us breaks free of our own self-imposed bonds -- be they mental, physical, or otherwise. As Voltaire wrote for Candide, time to tend our own gardens. GOD will take care of the rest, I feel assured.

i thought the guy got the message across very well.

from TheletterM
It's really exasperating the number of people (just in my circle alone) who still believe in the election farce

yes amazingly stupid people. there's a guy i work with that said those very words, "i believe voting for the lessor of two evils is better than not voting at all"
i told him that theyre both the same thing and nothing will fundamentaly change. they're put there to keep the status quo. that's it.
nope. he cant see it.

you'd think that by all that's happened in the past 8 or so years that they'd be somewhat aware that the system is broken or rigged or... something.

i told a woman today that the federal reserve is not federal, that' obama and romney are puppets, etc, etc.
she asked me what i was smoking without questioning.

well, they deserve what they get..

Change?
written by Worker , September 05, 2012

I am and have been 'out' for quite some time. The lesser of the 'two evils' is still evil - period. I by myself can not effect change but I do hope for a revolution; maybe a citizen upheavle will change things. Who knows - can not be worse than it is today.
BTW, I am willing to stand behind my principals even unto death - just saying.
